Purchase upright freezer, (used) from Brandon, FL store in Nov 2017, was to be delivered the day after Thanksgiving, was delivered on Saturday. Made my first monthly payment, was promised the correct shelves and baskets for this freeze, was never delivered. Due date changed for this account from month to month, never the same day of the month. Have had nothing but trouble with managers to sale people. Promised one thing and got completely another. WELL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Sincerely Elizabeth Houghton PS stay away, you pay double what for what every you are purchasing, customer service SUCKS!!!

Bed bugs in both stores

Buddy’s home furnishings

Both stores are infested with bedbugs They are delivering furniture and appliances To peoples home knowing they have a bedbug issue they also run people‘s credit cards without authorization so please be aware of what they are sending into your homes you can make them cover the cost if u did get this nasty things from them

Like I said they are Fully aware of the bedbug issue and their stores they have a burning room but still proceed to bring things in that are covered in bedbugs and not treating it They make promises that are not kept as in they will promise to order you furniture or appliances and will not follow through with ordering The sanitary conditions are just uncalled for no one should have anything like that delivered into their home or have to deal with itWtfThe sanitary conditions are just uncalled for no one should have anything like that delivered into their home or have to deal with it

Not good

We where late on our payment for a 75'TV....they left a note the firat time they came on my side door...we wwere going through some family issues like everyone does and we didnt not give them a call....due to the kids being off for the summer my son who is (8) and my daughter who is (15) where home...they knocked my son asked who was it, as the manager of Buddys store in kilgore Tx. and another worker of the company stated who they where after my son opened the door they then intered my home and asked if the parent or parents were home he stated to them NO as my 15 yr old came down the hall she fussed at my son jer brother for opening the door and not coming to get her first because we their (mother and father)had not made it home yet from work...they intered all the way in anyway and proceeded to get the merchandise and in an up-rulely way they disconnected my internet, surround sound system and our ps4 they droke the end of my internet cord so we had to call and get it repaired and that cost us 50 dollars added to our bill....not pleased at all and very pissed in them innering my home with my son and daughter being there alone and on top of that my son was affraid after they started taking thing apart in a disruptive way

I made a payment of $99.82 on a refrigerator then asked the salesman how much more do I owe, he stated about five more payments. I informed him that with my previous payment, the saleslady told me I owed about $300. He then stated yes your payoff is now $257. Then I stated had I known this before I made the payment, I would have payed it off. he then said oh well, we have too many customers to be trying to keep up with one. Well! Guess what, you won't have to worry about this unimportant customer ANYMORE!!

I went to store yesterday have decided since they waited to last minute to take care of flea problem and TV problem to go in store to return livingroom and TV and the manager tried to charge me for everything and late fees and I politely said to have the regional to call me and he said if we going to keep calling the regional ever time we have a problem we can take our business and go else where he was very rude and not good customer service I think y'all need a new manager if he going to treat new customers bad

Poor Service

I had money withdrawn from my account without my permission. When I called and explained to the manager about the issue, I was told that there was a form that I signed that gave them permission to do so. Even though they sent me a text message asking for payment. I explained to the guy that I got paid every two weeks, that was why my payments had been off schedule, his reply was, well you owe us for the week anyway. Then he said, on the following week, you owe us for two weeks. He did not listen and tried to give me the run around talking about, we will come to get the items you rented from us. This man was rude, condescending and his poor customer service skills are something that does not hold a shred of decency. Numerous times, I called and explained that my pay cycle had changed, there were not any note of the phone call or anything in my file. Therefore, I would not recommend renting anything from your company.

Several times I have gone into a Buddy's Home Furnishing store and was able to rent from thwm and I just went into a store and was told that they would not do business with us. It is the store manager that holds the past and past experiences against someone. People change and need to be given a chance. They are the rudest people there. I have heard bad stories from others who have rented from them but wanted to give them a chance and now they deserve the negativity.

Money took off my card without my consent

Buddys took 225 off my card without my authorization. They claim that i.called and selected auto pay and i didnt. By law i have to sighn papers for them to take money ouy my account and i didnt sighn nothing. I gave the merchandise back and still havnt recieved my money back on my card. The store manger Jim is very rude n very unprofessional. He thought he put the phone on mute n called me a *** to one of his co workers.

Harrassing phone calls

I've been a customer of Buddy's ( now Modern Home Furnishing) for about 3 and 1/2 years now. And i have to say they are the worst experience with customer service. Like i explained to the account manager i got robbed. I stopped by the store forgot to lock my doors then some idiot took my entire purse which had my wallet in it. My landlord said i can double my rent next month so why can't they say the same. I have never been late on payments. But they won't stop calling me. I do not pick up the phone anymore. If i can hold out i will pay them next month. *** and corporate is worse. They are a bunch of scam artist. I do not understand all of my bill collectors said that i can pay them double a month later. So wtf is wrong with Buddys.

I got bed bugs from this place and they tried to blame it on my house - which I hadn't had bed bugs before and THERE WERE NO BED BUGS ANYWHERE IN THE HOUSE!!! ONLY ON THE BED THEY PROVIDED ME WITH

When I told them what was going on they tried to tell me that the box spring they provided me with was already mine and they hadn't sold it to me

This place is a joke!!

After we dropped the bed back off to them, instead of throwing it in the trash or putting it by the trash THEY TOOK IT BACK INSIDE

I have emailed the manager Joshua and never responded to any of my email or calls about the furniture how I received them. Not only I waited a whole day because they keep for getting something and I end up not going to work that day. I lost a whole day and get broken furniture and the excuses that that’s how it was already but that’s not relevant it should be inspected before given to customers. Second issue is I had them set up automatic payment taken out because with my job I am never home and I can be sent where ever my job sends me. He calls me telling me I’m late and told him that it should be automatic taken out and my mom and I repeatedly made sure it is automatic taken out of my account. Then he tells me oh yea I am the manager Joshua and I got your email, a month later like really. Third issue is my bank account has detected might be a possible fraud because buddy furniture charge my account 7 times and I sent him the snap shot to show they’re taking it out but they over did it cause my bank to close the card and give me a temporary one to give it to them and yet again they did it again now both card is close. I ha e to pay my bank too over night me another bank card so the issue can be handle. It getting a rude email from him just made me loose it and just had enough and no more being nice so I sent him a very lovely rude message from a very good patient customer that just had it enough with this furniture place. I am having Navy legal to take a look at this company and go from that point because they shouldn’t treat client like that specially if the error is from their part. Management needs a proper training and customer service training also the staff as well. FYI I am new to the area and only choose them because they said they can deliver the next day and have them a huge down payment to show them this can be paid right away and I though maybe I can be treated more better but nope that’s not the case so don’t rent and fellow military don’t and I advice don’t go with them. They’re fraud and very rude and they will not help you out if you have a issue but if something went wrong with the payment they will blow up your phone even if you’re at work dealing with important people
